It Feels Like Monday

I just realized today is Tuesday.  But it was a good day.  I went to meet my friend Kelli at WonderGarden for lunch and a smoothie.  Then we went and got our nails done.  It was super relaxing.  I love getting my nails done! I have really felt pretty relaxed since yesterday's post.  I've also got a little confidence back.
I was talking to one of the officer's wives at the gym a while back, and she had mentioned that while her husband is deployed she hangs has dinner every night with a friend of hers.  That sounds like such a good idea.  I have made two friends so far since I've been here.  And I can definitely see myself doing that with them.  It could add some regularity and new routine.  Of course there is going to be a little bit of a lapse, because my hubby leaves before the main party leaves.
I've been watching a lot of The Office lately.  And I love Jim and Pam! I think I could argue that this show is seriously one of the best ever! I dare say its better than Seinfeld. Yep, I said that.  Its true.  Michael Scott is so incredibly awkward. I could also go on and on about this show.  But I think I will stop here.
Like I mentioned yesterday I've updated and changed somethings on the blog.  The most obvious would of course be the layout.  Then I added a few tabs along the top.  I'm still working on one of the tabs.  Its going to be a goals type thing.  101 goals in 1001 days.  But I have found that it is incredibly difficult to come up with 101 goals.  I'm stuck at like 58 or something.  I want to come up with meaningful things and things that are measurable (nursing reference). So I can't just say, "cook better" because thats not measurable.  So my goals need to be specific, like a nursing diagnosis. Of course my timeline is 1001 days.  I'm setting myself a deadline for Friday to complete and post my goals. You guys can follow along as I finish each goal.  I also hope to be able blog about each goal as I complete it.  I'm pretty excited about it and I really hope that I can complete each one.  I'm working really hard already to do so.  Starting with watching all The Office episodes....

  1. its good that you have friends to keep your busy when he's gone, that's going to be a great distractions...especially since you are living in 29 Palms.
I haven't had the best of luck in the friends area here, sorry for sounding lame, but I think and know it would make a HUGE, good, difference.

  2. you don't sound lame at all! i totally understand. when i first moved here it was really hard not knowing anyone and with my husband being in the field all the time i felt really isolated. then of course i had to go through a few crazy friends before i found some people that i clicked with.
