Working on My Goals

I can't believe Liam will be one month old in a few days! I was given the "ok" to work out by my OB doc last week at my 3 week postpartum visit, but I haven't had the chance, until today, to actually take advantage of it. I'm still trying to find time in between changing diapers, feeding, and pumping to get things done.  But its getting easier. Liam is starting to learn how to put him self to sleep so that helps. The hubby was home today and he was able to give me enough time to do an ab work out for the first time.  I haven't done any cardio yet, so I thought starting out with a 10 minute ab routine might be a good way to ease back into things and help get my core muscles back.  It went surprisingly well.  Of course I wasn't able to do everything as well as before, but I didn't do any of the modified exercises, and I finished thinking it wasn't nearly as hard as I was expecting it to be. So I'm feeling pretty good about getting back into pre baby shape! I am also going to be signing up for the intramural Women's softball team on base next month.  Now I'm actually kind of nervous about this.  I've never played a sport before.  At least not for an actual team.  So I'm already expecting to be not as good as anyone else on the team, I just hope they don't all hate me for it.  A couple of the other wives that are going to play too, said we should all start practicing together. Which I really need, because I'm not in the best shape of my life right now. But I'm hoping to get back there in the next 6 weeks. Thats what happens when you gain 50lbs during pregnancy! I really can't complain about that either, I've lost over half of it already. I'm just very excited about things coming up.  I feel like I'm finally getting my goals accomplished.
he doesn't look like a newborn anymore! I can't believe how much he's grown in the last month.

  1. He is sooooo adorable! Thats sounds like a lot of fun. I've never played a sport on a team either, but I have been wanting to lately.
